Zogg Fire: 3 people Killed in Hot Blaze; Grow to 40,317 Acres in North of Igo in Shasta; Zero Percentage Contained
The Zogg Fire has grown to 40,317 acres and is still zero percent contained, according to Cal Fire. The fast moving Zogg Fire, burning near Redding, and was igniting Sunday afternoon. Until now, Cal Fire confirms that 146 buildings have been destroyed. Another 1,538 are threatened right now.
Newsom cautioned that it may converge with the nearby August Complex Fire, already the largest in California's history.
At least three people have been killed by the fire burning in Shasta and Tehama Counties due to Zogg Fire.
With zero containment, “every area of this fire is a concern,” Cal Fire spokeswoman Toni Davis said early Tuesday.
Hot temperatures, low humidity and light winds are forecast on Tuesday.
The fire has damaged the grounds at the elite Meadowood resort and Black Rock Inn.
Nearly 70,000 people are under evacuation order.

California Governor Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency in Napa, Sonoma and Shasta counties on Monday night due to two blazes, Glass Fire and Shady Fire tearing through Northern California.
