Kilburn Fire- 40 Firefighters in Scene to Contain a Fire at a Restaurant with Flats Above

Fire fighters are battling to contain the fire erupted at a restaurant with flats above in Kilburn.

Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters were on the scene to control the fire a at the restaurant with flats above on Kilburn High Road in Kilburn. 

Fire crews from North Kensington, Paddington, West Hampstead and Kentish Town fire stations attended the scene.

The fire broke out inside a void between the ground and the first floor. The crews are trying to make the scene safer and making awareness among to people to get away from the area.

Station Commander Ned Alexander, who was at the scene, said: "The fire was located inside a void between the ground and the first floor of the building and crews used cutting equipment to gain access and bring the fire under control."

"Kilburn High Road is closed between Gascony Avenue and Kingsgate Place, so we advise people to avoid the area. Crews are expected to remain on scene damping down for a number of hours."

The reason of the fire is under investigation.
