John Malkovich's Son is Among the 27 Protesters Arrested at BLM Rally in Portland

John Malkovich’s son was arrested at a violent Black Lives Matter rally in Portland, Oregon, where marchers attacked police on Friday.

The actor’s software engineer son Loewy Malkovich, 38, was listed as one of 27 people arrested Friday night on the 100th consecutive night of protests of Black Lives Matter since the death of George Floyd.

According to a report from the Portland Police Bureau, the actor’s son, Loewy Malkovich, 38, was busted on charges of interfering with a peace officer and disorderly conduct in the second degree. No specifics as to what Loewy did were available in the report.

According to police, a protest began on Friday, Sept. 4, around 9:45 p.m. that made its way to the offices of the Portland Police Association. Out of fear of potential arson threats, officers created a perimeter around the building to prevent protesters from getting inside the property. Police say they stood by for 90 minutes as the protesters blocked streets and refused to comply with orders being made over a loudspeaker to allow traffic through the area.

He was busted on charges of interfering with a peace officer, and second-degree disorderly conduct, according to a release by the Portland Police Bureau.

No details were given as to what he was personally accused of doing during the night of violence that was ruled an unlawful assembly as police say they were attacked with rocks and bottles while protecting the building previously attacked by arsonists.
