Adeline Fagan, a Young Promising Doctor Dies of Covid 19


Adeline Fagan, 28, a young promising  doctor in New York, who volunteered selflessly to take care the Covid patients, surrendered to Covid 19. She had just started her second year of residency in Houston and after recently treating COVID-19 patients, she caught the virus herself.

Adeline, an OB/GYN resident physician in Texas, underwent an examination after experiencing body pain while working on July 8. The test was  positive and available treatments were given. Adeline later decided to begin an experimental drug trial but her lungs failed before doctors could find out if the new treatment could prove effective, family said. 

“We are heartbroken by the tragic passing of Dr. Adeline Fagan. Our hearts go out to her loved ones, friends and colleagues. Dr. Fagan touched so many lives and will always be remembered for her happiness and beautiful smile, as well as her dedication to moms and babies,” said HCA Healthcare.

 As the disease worsened, she was transferred to a ventilator in mid-August. Six weeks she spent on the ventilator. which escalated to ECMO treatment, her father said they finally had a few days in a row of “wonderful progress” when there was an emergency surgery to try and relieve a brain bleed.

The death of the young doctor was the latest on 3317 deaths so far (Saturday) in Houston.
