Indian Former President Pranab Mukherjee Dies at 84

 Former President of India Pranab Mukherjee dies at 84. He died at the Army Research and Referral Hospital in Delhi this evening. 

He was in treatment and underwent surgery after being found to have a blood clot in his brain. The surgery was successful but he was transferred to a ventilator due to deteriorating health.He had tested positive for Covid 19  in an examination on Monday before the surgery.He had tweeted himself on his coronavirus test. He also demanded that those who interacted with him last week go under surveillance. 

After the surgery, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh visited the hospital and held discussions with relatives and doctors. Hospital officials said in a medical bulletin released on Tuesday that his condition remained critical after the surgery. A native of Bengal, he was the 13th President of India. She was born on December 11, 1935 in the village of Meerut in the Birbhum district of West Bengal. He is the first person from West Bengal to become the President of India. Pranab Mukherjee was the first Bengali to present a budget.

He first entered the Rajya Sabha in 1969. In 1977 he received the award for Best Parliamentarian. He entered the Lok Sabha in 2004. In 2019, the country honored him with the Bharat Ratna. He was also awarded the Padma Vibhushan in 2008. He has also served as Chairman of the ADB's Board of Governance. He is the author of Beyond Survival, Emerging Dimensions of Indian Economy, and Challenge Before the Nation / Saga of Struggle and Sacrifice.
