Celebrities Talking On their Stories at "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" amid Toxic Workplace Claims

On the ongoing  and former staffers' claims that the talk-show host has mistreated employees and fostered a toxic work environment at "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," celebrities are taking the floor to share their own stories about the comedian.

Comedian Kevin Hart, singer Katy Perry and other stars have come to Ellen DeGeneres' defence after allegations that her TV show is a toxic workplace.

However, the show's one-time resident DJ has said he "did experience and feel the toxicity of the environment".

It follows a Buzzfeed News story that claimed senior staff had bullied and intimidated others on set.

DeGeneres later apologised to staff, saying steps would be taken to "correct the issues" that had come to light.

Others, including Scooter Braun and Portia de Rossi, have stood by the comedian and spoken highly about her character.

Ellen DeGeneres has faced a backlash throughout 2020.

The "Everybody Loves Raymond" actor Garrett called out the comedian via Twitter on Friday.

On Tuesday, Tony Okungbowa, who was the programme's DJ from 2003-2006 and 2007-2013, echoed those accounts, adding: "I stand with my former colleagues in their quest to create a healthier and more inclusive workplace."

Garrett, who has appeared on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" multiple times, reshared Variety's article about the comedian's letter apologizing to staffers who felt disrespected.

In the letter, DeGeneres said she hadn't been able to closely manage the show as it grew in recent years.

"Sorry but it comes from the top ⁦@TheEllenShow," Garrett wrote.

The actor continued to say he knew "more than one" person who was "treated horribly" by DeGeneres, adding that her behavior was "common knowledge."

Perry said she had "only ever had positive takeaways" from appearing on DeGeneres' daytime talk show.

Other celebrities like Diane Keaton and Ashton Kutcher have a positive comment on theEllen show and they said their good and funny moments in the show.
