U.S Independence Day 2020- Fourth of July Celebrations Plans

July 4 of this year 2020 is celebrated as the Independence Day of United States. Every year celebrations and preparations are start from months back. This year, fourth of July  celebrations will expected to be more restrictions and limitations on the Independence Day celebrations amid corona virus pandemic.

Trump and the First Lady will travel to Mt. Rushmore National Memorial in Keystone, South Dakota, on Friday for an early July Fourth celebration with fireworks and a flyover. Social distancing will not be forced at that event, though masks will be provided.

On Saturday, Trump and the First Lady will host the 2020 “Salute to America “ on the South Lawn and the Ellipse of the White House.

The event will include music, fireworks,military demonstrations and flyovers to honour our Nation’s service members and veterans,” according to the White House.

The mayor of Washington, DC, said Wednesday that she has informed the Department of Interior that the Trump administration’s planned July 4th celebrations in Washington go against health officials’ guidance due to corona virus.

While Washington, D.C., mayor Muriel Bowser has encouraged people to celebrate the holiday at home, she can’t stop the government from holding an event on federal land.

The National Independence Day Parade, has been canceled l, which is sure to depress turnout.

White House spokesperson Judd Deere says, “this year’s event will have a different look than 2019 to ensure the health and safety of those attending.”

On Monday night , Governor Kristi Noem said on Fox News that, “People who concerned about the corona virus should not attend Trump’s speech at Mount Rushmore Thursday. While free face masks will be provided for those who do attend, wearing them is not mandatory.”
“ We will not be social distancing,” she added.

The interior department on Wednesday also encouraged those who planning on viewing the fireworks to practice social distancing, wear face masks, avoid shaking hands, wash hands often and avoid attending if symptoms showing.

The department said it will provide more than 300,000 cloth face coverings to attendees and that more than 100 hand washing stations will be located around the National Mall
