Ennio Morricone, The Oscar winning film composer has died at the age of 91, at dawn in Rome Hospital after falling and breaking his leg, his lawyer Giorgio Assumma said.

Ennio Morricone was an Italian composer, orchestrator, conductor, and former trumpet player, writing in a wide range of musical styles.
Morricone composer over 400 scores for cinema and television, as well as over 100 classical world.  

Having received an honorary Oscar in 2007, he went on to win one in 2016 for Quentin Tarantino ‘s The Hateful Eight.

Before his win for The Hateful Eight, Morricone received Oscar nominations for Days of Heaven,The Mission, The Untouchables, Bugatti and Malena.

Morricone requested a private funeral, Assumma said.
