Australian Figure Skater Ekaterina Katia Alexandrovskaya, Dies at 20

Australian figure skater Ekaterina Katia Alexandrovskaya, 20, hasdied after falling from window. The cause of the former Olympic skater's death on Friday in Moscow has not yet been disclosed.

Reports in Russia claim the former skater may have committed suicide but 'the circumstances of the incident are being clarified', according to Izvestiu. Ekaterina competed for Australia at the 2018 Pyongyang Winter Olympics.

Katia's death has been confirmed by the International Skating Union. Figure skating is a physical exercise performed on ice. Born in Russia, he represented Australia in sports.

Katia jumped from the sixth floor of her flat in Moscow. The Russian news agency TASS reported that Katia's body was found on a street in Moscow.

The athlete left the sport after his epilepsy was confirmed and moved to Russia with his mother. Katia competed with Harley Windsor of Australia in the 2017 World Junior Championships at the Olympics. Last February, Windsor made it clear on social media that Katia was unable to continue in sports due to health issues. Windsor wrote on social media after the news of Katia's death that he was in shock.
